“Where is the battery housed in this unit? It quit working several months ago. My husband said ours does not have a battery? He had it hardwired and it stopped working after a few months. He went through all troubleshooting options with no luck.”

On the bottom of unit. You need special tool to release the battery. Should have come with the unit
