• Yes you do, plug in and connect via wifi, you can put one upstairs and one downstairs, my place is 1100 square feet, 1 was enough

• Ohmkat sells video doorbell power supply and also a ringer/chime compatible with their power supply. You hook up the power supply to the terminals of the ring. The ringer is a separate part that is made to connect to inline transmitter for the power supply and a chime you just plug in the outlet
