Usually apartments have either external doors or entry doors from halls in an apartment building. The RING camera sees all in range and range can be varied. It creates an alert and all devices registered with RING receive the alerts and can see the video caught by the camera. The RING needs to be in range of a network (wifi is ok) and a device (smart phones, computer id's) all can be registered with RING Those devices receive the alerts (whether at home or away) and you can talk to the person pushing the doorbell. The person pushing the doorbell cannot see you. The RING device records motion too (varying ranges away) if not on snooze. You should be able to install on outside on the door framing or wall provided the lessor will permit it. I would think that most would but might consider it a permanent alteration that remains after the tenant leaves or that it must be restored to its condition prior. I would think most would but you might want to make the motion feature less sensitive (rangewise) or put on snooze when you have a lot of neighbors who are passing by your door or the # of alerts could be significant. Also a neighbor who may be seen going into their quarters might not like it if someone could be watching their coming and goings (feel invaded) but I see neighbors cars leaving their driveways and going past my house (at least 3 of them anyway) but there is a neighbor feature that allows participation in neighborhood watch and notification of neighbors of those you see an image of near your RING Cameras.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure but yes, one could approach and tamper with it but if motion is on, they would be seen on the video sent to your smartphone and on your computer if set up for those devices
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not easy to temper with. The doorbell comes with a step by step installation manual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It installs using your existing doorbell. So, if your apartment has a doorbell, it would work perfectly. I don’t know if they have any other products that do not require an existing doorbell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, can’t tamper with it. Yes will work with apartment
