“Could you please tell me if there is a way to get it to record for longer than the 20/30 seconds at a time,without me answering it. And I have one for one home, but would like to now purchase another for another home. Am I able to have both on my phone?”

It should be recording as long as their is motion. Yes you can get another doorbell, just simply add it to your device list and you can give access to someone if like.

This feature automatically stops the recording after a Ring device stops detecting motion. The devices stop after 20 seconds for battery-operated devices even if physically installed as hardwired, and 60 seconds for hardwired devices without a battery option. This saves on battery life and data charges but is primarily the first stage for a new feature to be launched soon. When this new feature is completed. It will allow you to control how long your Ring device records footage after detecting motion.
