Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My doorbell is not working in the cold weather. I live in Pittsburgh and right now the temp is 35°. I called support and they told me lithium batteries do not work in cold weather.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't noticed any adverse effects on the unit. In Pittsburgh, and we were just down there in your temperature range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have only had my doorbell for a few months. However, it has been close to zero here at night and all seems well. The website does indicate that very cold weather can make it necessary to recharge sooner.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Yoyo, Great question. The Ring Video Doorbell 2 is weather resistant and can operate in temperatures ranging between -5 degrees Fahrenheit and 120 degrees Fahrenheit. However, please do note that since Ring Doorbell and Ring Stick Up Cam use lithium polymer batteries when the temperature drops below 40°F, it may be necessary to charge your Ring product more often. Battery performance will return to normal once the weather warms up and remains above freezing. Thanks, Kaitlyn R., Neighbor Satisfaction Specialist [email protected]
