A:AnswerNotifications are usually for your phone only, so it should. Depends on what you do to the settings. You could always adjust the range of how far the doorbell sees and alerts you. They're called motion zones.
A:AnswerI installed my Ring Doorbell 2 where there was no doorbell. It does not require hardwiring since it uses a rechargeable battery that lasts for 6 months to a year. I also use the spotlight cam over my garage. Same thing—not hardwired because of the rechargeable battery. Super easy to install Ring has videos that take you step by step and you can call them if you have any questions.
A:Answer180 degrees , but the ring ll field is an arch. When you increase the field it expands like a half circle. I recommend the Ring Pro. You have many field adjusts on Pro, only 1 adjustment on ll.
A:AnswerIf you are asking how many bells or sounds several. If you are asking how many in a box there is only 1 doorbell however I purchased a Ring Door Chime to plug into an electrical outlet at the other end of my home then I can hear the sound if there is motion out front or someone rings the doorbell then both of my chines go off (the exisitng chime from the old doorbell and the Ring Door Chime I plugged into the wall). I hardwired my doorbell in to the existing doorbell wiring (very easy to do) so that my battery would not be used unless there was a power outage. Ring Doorbell 2 lets you have the option of using the battery and no wiring or wiring into the existing wiring you already have to your old bell.
A:AnswerI will answer your question because I have the same problem that you have and that is the reason I got one. Had items stolen off of my porch but couldn't prove anything because of no video. Yes motion is detected and you have the option of having far away you want the motion to detect. At first I had it set to the curb of my front yard and it detected when the trash truck came and when the drive by mail man gave me mail, so I backed off the sensor just a bit and it is fine now. It will detect if something go by in front of your house that has a loud noise once in a while but not very often, I guess the vibration of the vehicle. Had FedEx delivery a packaged and it picked up everything on my front porch and the sensor went off saying "someone was at my front door" before the rang the doorbell. Even if you go out your front door to sweep the porch off it is records what you are doing.
