This model needs to run off of an old doorbell power supply or a new power service. This model has no battery. This model is screwed directly to the house (ideally) and is difficult to remove. That said, everything is removable with the proper amount of tools and time. Hopefully, the notification process will alert you to an attempted removal and let you act accordingly. Enjoy!!
