The ring pro requires 16-24 volts to work while the original ring doorbell along with the ring 2 can work wirelessly and would then just need to have the battery charged occasionally.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You must install it using the wiring that you have in your old doorbell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes its wireless. This depends on what you have current setup in your home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it does need to be installed. The Pro model connects to your existing wires. The non Pro models are wireless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't need an existing doorbell for the Ring Pro to work. The device will alert you on your phone or the optional chime if you don't have a doorbell. All this thing needs to work is power from a transformer that is connected to a 120V circuit. If you don't have existing wire run to your door from an old doorbell, you can run new wire to the transformer even if you're marginally handy. I have two of these synced to individual chimes and they work great. Just need to get power to them, that's all.
