Yes, definitely for an iPad; however, for laptop or desktop, it will depend upon your device processor system. If you have windows 10 or upgraded windows system which will allow you to download the "ring" app from apps store, you are good to go. It works like a regular apple app or android app. The features are in the "ring" app which help you to control the system.
