I left the chime box up on the wall. The wired Ring doorbell came with a plug in chime. I bought 2 chimes so we can hear the notifications upstairs and down. The only drawback is i needed to install a voltage converter (transformer) to hook up to the wiring.. They are about $23 on amazon.
