Its a plug in the wall speakers so it rings at your home as a regular doorbell otherwise it just ring on your phone

The Ring Chime is a device that, when plugged into a standard wall socket, produces an audio signal whenever you receive an alert from a Ring device for motion and doorbell announcements. You have the option to change and customize chime tones for alerts and notifications.
