“If someone rings the doorbell outside will i hear it in my house or is it only going to notify me on my phone? I currently have just a regular door bell will i need to buy the ring chime or can i just use my current chime for my reg doorbell?”

If you already have a chime that rings with your doorbell (hardwired) you can continue to use that chime. You will the additionally hear it on your phone if you have the alerts turned on. I find hardwiring is the best was to go (if you can) because it keeps the rind charged at all times
