The Ring media team has done their job a little too well, as in my area, many people ringing the doorbell will ask if it is one of "those Ring doorbells." To the uninitiated, it probably does look like a fancy doorbell.

I don't know if people (lots of those) know its a security device or not. Or if they know what it's for or does. As word gets out, commercials are watched, I bet people know its RING; Especially thieves. It looks like a doorbell with a light on in a circle. It looks like a fancy doorbell. But opinions would vary per person. I love mine. Get one.

That camera is obvious when they see or ring it, so common sense would say they know they are being watched, but there is no warning to the person.
