- Answer This system does not work well in cold weather. The battery has to be recharged regularly, even if it is hard wired.

- Answer Not sure; but the customer service for RING is excellent. They will be able to answer that. I have a Netgear unit as my "hotspot" and it works great. As far as the data consumption, that will depend on your settings. You can set it to video frequently or less. I have both of mine on frequent and my data consumption is very low. It is not an issue at all with me. I hope this helps.

QuestionI am currently searching this product before buying and have a few questions. I currently do not have a video doorbell so do I need to purchase a chime? Also what's the difference between the ring 2 @ $199 and the ring @$99? Does it come with a battery?

- Answer the doorbell rings on its own, so a 'chime' is not necessary, but I do also have a chime and it makes it easier when you are in a different part of the home. your iPhone also transmits the rings when the doorbell is pushed. I do not know the difference between different models of the Ring device, but the associates in the store are most helpful and yes the Ring component comes with a rechargeable battery.

- Answer Yes you can 'live view' at anytime as long as it is setup and your WIFI connection.

- Answer You can replace your existing doorbell with ring for wired connection. If you dont have a Doorbell already, you can install this as wireless connection. The rechargeable battery comes with the doorbell should last for 4 to 6 months as per Ring.

- Answer You’ll need nothing else except a phone and the Ring Doorbell app. You can put the Doorbell app on a tablet computer or tablet.

- Answer Which tool? If it was the orange screwdriver, any phillips head screwdriver will work to mount the plate. You don't really need the tool to tighten the "lid" to the plate. I just used my fingers.

- Answer It comes with a drill bit you can use to drill into brick and or mortar. It also comes with the sleeves to stick in the hold that the screws go in. It’s very easy actually.
