My doorbell's been broken for years so as I mentioned above Alexa will talk to you when there's someone at your door and your phone will ring like a doorbell when there's somebody at your door. It does come with another chime that you can wire in which I haven't done yet, will do soon. But it's not even essential because I've got two systems already informing me even when no one is ringing the doorbell. The visual activity is what activatesthis new third generation doorbell
