• Cable goes from soundbar to your audio source like playstation or boom box if your device has optical audio setup you can connect so maybe the TV too

• I have the cable running from the sound bar to my TV, I dont think that cable boxes have a digital output.

• It goes from your Sound Bar to the TV. Make sure you have them both off before connecting it.
