As long as you keep the warranty details and your receipt, you can present them if a claim is required, right at the store, or per the written warranty requirements.
If they refuse or give you a hard time, you can submit an online claim to your State Attorney General's office for fraud.
Most AG's will submit a claim to warrantor's on your behalf, within 24 hours of your complaint.
Typically the warrantor has 48 hours to satisfactorily reply to the AG, or face an investigation.
Always remember that warranty's are more of a marketing piece than for consumer piece of mind, and is written to protect the manufacturer, not the consumer.
Extended "warranties" you pay for are not warranties at all... they are insurance policies.
