“why not plug the rocketfish into an extension cord? The instruction manual says not to connect to an external (extension?) cord.”

• The Rocketfish sits flush against the wall...plug the extension cord into the Rocketfish.

• A surge protector losses it ability to absorb the power surge unless it is the initial point of contact. The extension cord will allow the power surge to bypass the surge protector.

• It's designed to plug into a dual wall outlet. Plug the device in the outlet and use an extension from there, although of you are doing that you are probably buying the wrong equipment.

• It could cause it to overheat and therefore cause a fire. We wouldn't want that to happen, now we? So, just plug it in directly into the wall.
