Does this device come with some sort of clamp-on plug we can put on the wires so that they will plug in more cleanly? (similar to the "Y" or "O" type end you clamp on a wire for the hookup...only this would have a plug on it)”

For connecting speakers to this device, you do plug a short, stripped ind of the wire directly into the back of the device. There is a mechanism that is pulled down when putting the wire in and, when released, clamps down onto the inserted wire to hold it in place.
