QuestionCan you select more than one pair of speakers at the same time?Are you able to use more than one zone at a time? e.g 1. kitchen 2. rec room 3. outdoor 4 livingroom If I wanted to have music throughout the house I would need to selece 1, 2, and 4. Is this capible?

- Answer This unit will support multiple zone use, you can activate up to all 4 zones. Because this is a passive device, it will not boost the strength, so each zone active may reduce the overall signal.

QuestionWhat size receiver or amplifier is suggested?I will be running a total of eight speakers, 2-Polk Atrium 4 on an upper deck, 2-Insignia NS-SP213 in my den and 4-Polk MC80 in ceiling over my patio all with 8 Ohm ea. I will be running all in conjunction with a Mac Pro which has bluetooth. However, I will not be utilizing any more than four speakers at any given time. Do I need an amplifier or a receiver? How many watts are suggested for such and are there any other requirements that I would I need to consider so as to safely use my SSVC$ selector. The folks at Best Buy weren't so helpful or forthcoming in this regard. Thanks

- Answer When using two zones and the protection circuit not engaged the maximum amplifier power is 120 watts/channel. If you are going to use more than 2 zones at a time the protection circuit will need to be engaged and the maximum amplifier power is then 40 watts/channel.

QuestionWant to hook up 4 speakers via speaker wire to this Rocketfish 4 Pair Speaker Selector to to my Sharp 4K TV. Do I need anything else for the speakers to work broadcasting the tv volume? Does this replace the need for a separate receiver?

- Answer This is a speaker selector, and would not replace the need for a receiver. You could use it in addition to a receiver.

- Answer This is an electronic device. I have had several of them, if a single zone doesn't work, the item is defective and useless. There is no fixing this item unless you are an electronic technician. I would take it back and get another one or my money back.

Questionthe hookupsWe currently have a similar device, but the wires plug directly into little holes so eventually, the wires get all buggered up and do not connect well. Does this device come with some sort of clamp-on plug we can put on the wires so that they will plug in more cleanly? (similar to the "Y" or "O" type end you clamp on a wire for the hookup...only this would have a plug on it)

- Answer For connecting speakers to this device, you do plug a short, stripped ind of the wire directly into the back of the device. There is a mechanism that is pulled down when putting the wire in and, when released, clamps down onto the inserted wire to hold it in place.

Questioncracking and popping in speakerI have used another speaker same effect, I have switched wiring and the other speaker does the same thing. So I know it is not the speakers.

- Answer Have you checked the polarity? Make sure that your polarity is correct and that you are using a heavier gauge of wire. You may also want to run an AC line filter or use a power conditioner.

- Answer Unfortunately, this only takes in a stereo signal and allows switching between four different pairs of speakers. You can however choose to play from all speakers at once... Not advised unless the built-in protection is activated. Then, the splitter will only supply 40W RMS to each 16 channels.

- Answer I used 14 gauge with no problems. 12 would be nice if you have really long distances but you probably would need some amplification which this does not have
