“Does this case support the SMART COVER feature? I understand it's for the iPad Air but will it activate the open/close smart cover functionality available on the iPad?”

• It does not activate the Smart Cover feature. I don't find it a big deal to turn on or off the iPad manually.

• The open/close will not work, you would have to turn it on and off manually.

• you can turn i-pad on when cover is closed

• No, this is not a smartcover so it will not wake/sleep the iPad when the cover is opened/closed.
