“Doesn't register as an audio device. Like one of the other questioners, I can get video on my HDMI but not audio. However, unlike the other issue, my computer does not show another audio device. Is there a trick to getting it attached? Notes: I'm using the mini connector on my Lenovo ideapad running Win8. P.S. I'm disappointed that there is no manual on this device. RocketFishProducts.com has only a Quick-Start guide. Every other device I've purchased has a manual with a section for configuration changes to the supporting computer.”

There are different hdmi cables, some carry only video, some carry audio and video and I think there's a third one for audio/video/ethernet as well. Talk about making your head hurt, forces you to buy their stuff at exorbitant prices if you don't know what you're doing.
