Q: QuestionHow much electrical power is consumed with nothing plugged in? (I assume the USB AC/DC transformer consumes power at all times or does turn of totally when it detects that nothing is plugged in the usb slots.

• A:Answer Did a quick search and was amazed no specs are available. Both from the PDF of the manual to RF website. For safety's sake, *MOST* surge strips are 2.x to 3.x amps COMBINED. If you are looking for higher, google JUST a plug in type USB like Anker. The actual draw is equal to turning on an LED 1 time a day for a few minutes.

• A:Answer Soundgenius, Sorry, I believe this to not be a line conditioner. That is a higher-end/higher-level product category. For the NEMA 5 receptacles, this product functions firstly as a power distribution unit (PDU) , secondly as a surge protector/suppressor. If you are looking for conditioning/pure sine-wave output, this is not "better".
