Yes. Your AVR will control the volume. You just need to calibrate the volume on the system to balance it out. Once It’s set to your prefer level, you Shouldn’t have to adjust it.

So what I do is set the speaker volume at near maximum volume level and then control I. Between volumes with my source (in my case it is a computer). These are great speakers.
