Does the hook dirctly to tv or to surround sound amp null

The unit hooks directly to the rear output speaker terminals on the surround amplifier The output of the amplifier determines the the transmitted power to the speaker receiver. It is the one with the volume control knob and it hooks directly to the speakers. Note: both units require a/c power voltage to function!

You run the rear speaker wires from the stereo.
