Compared to the steam deck this is alot better even the base model i have left in the rain with no issues at all. As far as xbox games its only if they are on the xbox platform as a pc game any other game can be found on steam or gog, it really comes down to how xbox wants to treat you. Its worth the buy though

So now the answer is yes for some titles you can download it and play offline. In terms of it being better then the steam deck. It is different. Spec wise they are similar with a few advantages like the ally has better memory and refresh rates. For me I wanted this more because of its integration with Xbox game pass. And the fact it runs windows 11 rather then steam os. Makes it more customizable. I will say the steam deck in my opinion is lighter and easier to hold for long play sessions and the price. But it's personal preference for what you want.

This ROG Ally is better than a Steam Desck due to its superior performance, higher screen resolution and the ability to run Windows 11.
