Yes, there is a USB port on the back. I have a portable drive connected to it where I play movies from my collection.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely it does. I just bought one, it is just like the ROKU 3, but with a better overall picture quality. I used the USB port to set up my 2 TB External Hard Drive, and it played flawlessly 2 movies in 1080P, no hiccups whatsoever. You do have to use an application (App) specifically designed to play USB devices, just want to make sure people are aware, it isn't Plug n Play standalone USB. It is USB, Plug n Play, but with the proper App. The app to play USB devices are free by the way. Hope that helps. Best of luck with it.
