still requires an internet and does not get local stations
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I will give you the correct answer to that, you can do away with the Time Warner Cable Box, but here's the catch, if you aren't subscribed to any service, none of the popular channels you'll be able to get on the Roku, as they have you sign-on using your Cable Companies sign-on information to verify that you currently subscribe to the channel you are trying to turn on with the Roku. There is other options on the Roku though, they have 2 subscription services, that act just like cable companies packages, those services are SlingTV and Playstation Vue. Make sure you understand that you would still need the High-Speed Access brought to you by the Cable Company still. Which means, you'll just have 2 bills instead of one, but different people, means different things then. If you got any further questions, feel free to ask me.....I do own one of these already.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, unfortunately many of the channels on the Roku will need your cable company credentials to watch the content. ESPN, ABC, NBC, etc, Will ask for your cable credentials in order to view. For Cox I have to login with my Cox user ID to watch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I replaced everything with this!!!! you have an option to subscribed to sling tv for less than cable, but thousands of free movies and programs from apps. buy an indoor antenna for local channels. It works!!!!!
