Hello Anne, Xfinity is not required but WiFi is required, so if they’re your internet provider you will still need them for that but can cancel the cable portion if it’s no longer needed.

If you’re just talking about an Xfinity Cable package, then No. The TV has Roku built in, so as long as you have streaming services you subscribe to you can just use them for viewing. The TV saves you the need for an additional Roku device, and an external cable box. I use the YoutubeTV App (which I subscribe to) on the TV to watch cable. There’s free channels/apps as well, but I haven’t explored them.
