In response to the "Roku" answer. Craig was right, it was the Bandwidth settings. Works perfectly now. You must have missed the part about the TV still being ON. It just stopped streaming and went back to the home screen after 4 hours. Roku should consider having all of these Power / Bandwidth settings set to OFF from the factory. A new TV should perform the way a customer expects by staying on and performing until THEY decide to shut it off. Having to figure out what is "wrong" with their new TV and having to research to "fix" it are not brand building moments. Customers who wish to have automatic shut downs or limitations can CHOOSE to enable them if they wish.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We can help! It sounds like your TV has our auto power savings setting enabled. This setting will automatically enter your TV into a low-power mode after 15 minutes of inactivity and proceed to turn the TV off automatically after 4 hours. To disable this feature, visit the Roku TV's home screen and navigate to Settings on the right hand side. From here, choose System, Power, and disable Auto power savings. Happy Streaming!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t know if this is true on a Roku TV, but on Roku stand alone devices, in Settings, select Network, then Bandwidth saver. I think if you set it to off your TV will continue to stream past 4 hours.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In response to Craig: The Roku TV's player does have the same feature you suggested I look for. My Save Bandwidth settings were turned on from the factory and I turned them off. Have not actually tried it out yet, that would be a 4 hour test, but it is obvious that it will fix the problem. Thanks so much! You win the internet today.
