Yes you need wifi. There is no Ethernet connector on this version. Once u plug it all in u have to setup a login and then then login to any apps you have too

Please try again later.Plug it in to an available source on your TV, plug in the power, switch your TV to the source you've connected to Roku, and you will be walked through a brief, simple set-up procedure. (note: our individual concepts of 'brief' and 'simple' may not be the same :-)) Since Roku (and all streaming boxes) draw the content from the Internet, you will need WiFi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it's already set up. You just have to plug it in and go. You can also browse and add your apps from the console. You don't necessarily need WiFi, but you do need an Internet connection because it is a streaming player.
