When I asked what the difference was between the two; I was told the only difference is that the stick was not compatible with the new 4G TVs. I don’t know much about streaming so I had to rely on what I was told. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I cannot speak to the Streaming Stick but I have been well pleased with my Roku Premier. My router is centrally located so even though my Roku is at the end of the house the distance may not be as far as yours but I have had no problems. When I purchased it I thought the Premier would be better than a stick because it would be easier to position it high above the TV to a place that would get good reception. The Premier is really fast with no lags since it is designed for 4k. I also have a Premier+ and the main advantage to it over the regular Premier is the remote uses a radio signal rather than inferred so it doesn't have to be pointed directly at the device. I hope this helps.
