Depends on what service you subscribe to (Hulu, Sling, Netflix, Kodi, etc) and which of their packages you have chosen. Hulu, for example, has a package that includes Discovery, History, ID, Logo, TVLand, BBC, Syfy, Science, NatGeo, Comedy, MTV, Spike, and much more. You must have an internet connection. Remember, also, that if you have more than one television there has to be a separate Roku for each if there are other persons viewing in your home, or simply move a single Roku from one television to another if you are the only one who watches. The great part is that Roku costs nothing except the initial cost for the hardware. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Roku doesn't "pick" up channels, like through a cable TV service. Rather, it has apps that connect to various services, some are validated by your cable subscription, others are free to use and watch, and yet others are premium subscription based apps (think Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, etc). If you would like to learn what apps, or "channels" the Roku has, check out https://channelstore.roku.com/browse
