A:AnswerSling and Roku are two different things. You do not need Roku to watch Sling. I have Sling and watch it on my Xbox 1, better picture, sound and no extra commercials. Have also watched Sling on Amazon Prime and my Computer.
A:AnswerYes It will work.i have several TV’s with the Roku on them as I cut Cable with Spectrum and only have their Internet and WiFi. I am enjoying watch with Netflix, Hulu, AmazonPrime, Acorn and YouTube. I can watch what I want and when I want. Also when you stop your cable plug the cable into the back of your TV sometimes they forget to stop the local stations. You don’t have to pay for those stations. I am saving about $125.00 a month now.
A:AnswerPremier is HD 1920x 1080 pixels. The Premier + is a 4k streaming device... 3840x 2160 pixels. However, if you don't have a 4k tv, you won't see any difference as it will be down sampled to what your tv can handle. Furthermore, there is not that much content yet at 4k to stream. However, if you have a 4k tv, it's definitely worth the price difference!
A:AnswerThe main benefit I see is the speed it takes to move between apps and launch them. On my smart TV it lagged when changing apps and was just annoying. With the Roku it is immediate response when clicking. It made it feel like a solid satellite or cable box interface vs the smart TV one. As far as the apps go, it may have more then your smart tv offers, but does the same essentially. For me worth the extra buy
A:AnswerI'm not sure. TV channels & programs loaded quickly & have many channels selected. works great with spectrum cable & the internet. Loaded a Roku app for my iphone & helps me to type in searches & some other settings easily & not with the TV's remote; one letter at a time. Love it.
A:AnswerLizB,
As long as your TV has an HDMI port on the back of it, you should be able to use any of the Roku devices. The Roku Stick would plug directly into the HDMI port on the TV whereas the new models like the Roku 4 you may need to purchase an additional HDMI cable to go from the Roku to the TV.
