• Yes, the Roku is a smart device. I added this to my setup as the older smart TV and TiVO didn't support newer platforms such as Disney+ of Boxcast. There isn't much the Roku can't access.

• Yes as long as you have an hdmi port and of course wifi. It helps with anavailable 110 outlet so it doesn't haveto boot everytime . The blue ray issue is why I bought this it eleminates lag time. Love it
