“Does the 3811R Roku remote On/Off/Mute work on older TV's without CEC, or will I have to use TV remote to turn off, on and mute? My Toshiba does not have USB or CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) and has only one HDMI connection.”

I cannot answer that, as I don't have a Toshiba TV. I do not have a USB on my Sony Bravia (bought around 2008) and only HDMI, but the ROKU remote works fine on my TV.

Please try again later.its should because the remote is programmed to the tv when you first start programming to your tv. the usb port is used as a power source but they give you a plug for the outlet.as far as the hdmi you could use an hdmi adapter with multiple so you can add more
