• I have an IR remote and contrary to the other answers, it DOES work with my Roku Ultra 4850X. The included remote is RF, but the compatibility chart on the Roku website says it is compatible with their IR remote, and it works with my universal remote. As always, just because it works with my remote doesn't mean it will work with yours, but if you have an older Roku streaming player and your universal works with it then your universal remote will likely work with this Roku model as well.
