“Old Roku Ultra controlled tv power and volume on my 3 yr old Samsung TV. The new Ultra will not control tv volume. It will turn tv on and off. Roku support 'concluded' not compatible. I conclude they have a programming issue.”

We bought Roku ultra and ultra LT for 6 tvs. Some really old and some just a few years old. One is Samsung. Most are Vizio. One is insignia. Some are smart. Some are not. They work on all them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! Roku can turn off and on go to ROKU in setting choose volume TV off and on through ROKU I did and my TV is 5 years more old than yours. Good Luck!
