• I have a Plex server at home and am able to view my library over WiFi just fine.

• There are a whole list of media players you can install. Many are free and just require the web installer. Some are paid and have their own setups. This 4661R has a list of formats it supports. You'll have to review the published list to see if it's there. They list them in the Specifications: " Playable Formats AAC, AC3, ALAC, ASF, AVC, FLAC, GIF, JPEG, MKV, MOV, MP3, MP4, PCM, PNG, WMA "
