They have access to the same channels. Roku channels are like apps for your smart phone, not television channels.

I would highly recommend going to face book and look at the Roku Rocks page. This gives a lot of good tips and other pages to view to see what all is available out there!

I have signed up for over 275 extra channels by getting on my laptop and going to the Roku website and just getting a number to key in. I have found so many. Ones such as the "I Love Lucy" channel, the drive-in movie channel and so many more. There is something for everyone of every age. Enjoy!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Standard line up is available on the player, but it also has the capability of playing 4K content. So while I doubt it is 3,500 exactly, there are plenty of channel available. The only caveat is; a very large percentage of these channels will be subscription based, paid per movie, or as an addition to you cable television subscription. Meaning you would still need a cable account to supplement being able to access the channel: i.e. ABC, nick jr, fox, fx. Get the ultra. It's faster, still a great price and 4K will be the standard down the road. Just make sure you have the bandwidth to backup it up. Meaning higher internet speeds will endure hd streaming/playback.
