Hello Issac, The Roku 4 is compatible with most TVs via HDMI cable. You might want to check cables, TV input selection, and network access before returning.... Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not familiar with any specific model, but all TV's have compatibility. It sounds like your Roku resolution is somehow mismatched to your TV. The Roku goes through a setup process that tests your resolution and lands on the best. Did you answer the question correctly? Did you buy an "open box" Roku that may have had its resolution set by someone else? All Roku units should work with any TV with an HDMI port. Did you choose the correct input on your TV? Did you try a different input on your TV? (My mom had a TV with a dead input, made hookup a challenge). Hope that helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Does your LG 4K TV have HDMI 2.0 input(s) that support HDCP 2.2? The first few years 4k TVs were available they came with HDMI 1.4 with less than HDCP 2.2. HDMI 1.4 technically supports UHD resolution at 30Hz but it doen't support HDCP 2.2. HDCP 2.2 support is required to view most 4k content. If your TV does not have HDMI 2.0 input(s) that support HDCP 2.2 then none of the Roku 4 boxes will output 4k to your TV. They should output 1080p though so you should have been able to see a picture. You may have had a bad box.
