- Answer These units are not expandable. They are single zone mini split a/c models that can only be used with one indoor unit to one outdoor unit.

Questionin the winter months will there be any problems with the heating. It can get below zero in the winter in Ohio. I will be using it as the only source to heat my sons attic room.
