Will it cope with a 5,000 cubic feet garage? null

We purchased this for my daughter's dorm room and it handles the job well but I'm sure that is a smaller space than your garage.

It might. I use it in a 4500 cubic basement. It does run a lot in the summer time. It probably has a lot to due to the region of the county you live in.
