Please try again later.Jim, I don't know who you contacted, but I would try again to contact Samsonite Customer Service again directly to try and clear up your need to keep using the bag you like. Meanwhile now you have a black one. Sometimes companies will do that (full replacement) because it is easier than trying to get a hold of the actual parts that you want to repair. Keep at them and/or escalate the service ticket. Good luck!
