• The SMH1622W can be set up to vent outside from the rear or top of the unit, or filtered air can be recirculated into the room from vents located in the front that are concealed from view. Thanks for the question, Ms. Samsung

• Yes. There are three options. Recirculate back into the room, direct vent out of the back through a wall vent, or attach to a ceiling vent.
