• A:Answer The ME17H703SHS can be set up to vent externally through the top or back of the unit, or filtered air can be recirculated back into the room through the hidden vent in the top front of the Microwave. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

• A:Answer Samsung recommends installing the ME17H703SHS under a cabinet that is a minimum of 30" above the cook top, which places the bottom of the Microwave at least 13" above the cooking surface. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

• A:Answer The ME17H703SHS is designed to be installed under a cabinet with a standard depth of approximately 12-13". If the cabinet is deeper than about 14" it would obstruct the hidden vent. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung
