“Installing Samsung OTR Microwave without cabinet above My old Panasonic had the slider bracket to mount. Really easy. But Samsung SMH1816B has bottom bracket and on top you have to drill two holes into the cabinet above and then put the two attaching bolts from cabinet to microwave. But I don't have a cabinet above, just one on either side. Thinking of mounting two metal brackets on side of each cabinet and try to bolt it that way???”

• Thanks for your interest in the SMH1816B. Samsung recommends installing it as instructed in the installation guide, which does include using both the rear mounting bracket as well as the top cabinet bolts in order to support its full weight of about 52 lbs. - Ms. Samsung
