• The mounting kits are not universal. I replaced a 10 year old Kitchen Aid brand. The mounts were very different, although the new install was fairly straight forward and easy steps.

• Yes it comes with a mounting kit but it was a pain to install and it replaced an existing over the range microwave but it was worth the hassle

• The SMH1816W, like other Samsung over the range microwaves, does come with the mounting kit. While some models do use the same parts and templates, they are not universal. - Ms. Samsung
