• Yes. It can be vented from the top or the back, and changing from one to the other is very easy.

• Yes, the SMH1816W can be set up to vent outside from the rear or top of the unit, or filtered air can be recirculated into the room from vents located in the front that are concealed from view. Thank you for your interest, Ms. Samsung
