“Do you need to push a button before you enter the cook time? On our previous microwave, you just entered the time and pressed start. However, our current microwave requires you to push a "cook time" button before you enter the amount of time and then press the "start"button. I know this is a minor annoyance, but does this product require pushing a button before entering in the cook time?”

Thank you for the question. There are a number of ways to program the SMH9187ST to cook, including one-touch Sensor Cook buttons and pre-sets, and the Cook function which enables you to adjust the power level for multi-stage cooking. Another option is to press the buttons on the number keypad to set the time then press start, like you're accustomed to doing.
